Kegonkaf syrup is the triple action cough syrup. Kegonkaf syrup liquefies mucus secretion, fecilitates expulsion of irritants and relieves respiratory congestion controls allergic conditions and relieves bronchial spasms, Kegonkaf syrup reduces severity and frequency of cough. Kegonkaf syrup is suitable in all seasons and clear throat infection, reduces bronchial spasm and has a bronchodilating action.

• Indications: Useful in allergic cough, whooping cough, asthmatic cough, smokers cough, bronchitis, Pharyngitis, laryngitis, asthmatic attacks, preductive and unprodructive cough, respiratory infections.

• Dosage: 10ml twice or thrice a day with warm water or as directed by the physician.

• Children: 5ml three times a day or as directed by the physician.
• Infants: 5 to 10 drops three times day or as directed by the physician.

• Vasaka: The drug is anti-spasmodic and expectorant, which averts the attacks of cough. Vasicine is the alkaloid present in vasaka which is anti-septic, anti-bacterial. It has slight but persistent bronchodilating action and is useful in acute bronchitis. In thick and tenacious cough sputum vasaka liquefies the sputum with the help of the ciliary movement of mucus membrane activated by vasicine, the light is thrown out. Vasaka relieves the irritation and spasm of bronchioles. It is useful in pthisis. It is antibacterial and enhances the relieves the irritation and spasm of bronchioles and has antibacterial action. • Tulsi: Tulsi is used in treatments for: Asthma, bronchitis, colds, congestion, coughs, flu, sinusitis, sore throat and similar ailments. High blood pressure and high cholesterol. Headaches, earaches, and eye disorders. Camphene, cineole, and eugenol present in Tulsi helps to reduce cold and congestion in the chest. Juice of Tulsi leaves mixed with honey and ginger is effective in bronchitis, asthma, influenza, cough and cold.

• Somwalli: The drug is useful in affections of respiratory tract. Because of sympathomimetic action it has been very extensively useful in treatment of asthma. The relief is quickly and certain. (I.M.M.,486)

• Kantkari: the drug is useful in cough, asthma, costiveness. It is expectorant and corrects the hoarseness of voice and improves the soreness of throat. The drug is antibacterial and checks pain in chest and is laxative. In bronchitis, influenza allied conditions of dislodging tenacious conditions of phlegm, the drug is used. It has a bronchodilating action. (I.M.M.,486)

•  Yashtimadhu: Yashtimadhu has a demulcent action and has anti-inflammatory properties in the inflammatory affections or irritable conditions of the bronchiole tubes, cough, hoarseness of voice, sore throat, asthma. It has antispasmodic properties and averts the attacks of coughing. It has a slight laxative action.(I.M.M., 582).

• Pushkarmool: The drug is useful in cough and asthma. It is antispasmodic and hence reduces the attacks of asthma and cough. It is anti-inflammatory and demulcent and checks the hoarseness of voice due to cold. It has disinfectant action. (I.M.M.,683).

• Shunthi: It prevents severe damage to the Lungs Due to Hyperoxia and Inflammation. Ginger helps to break down mucus, making it easier for your body to expel air. It also helps improve circulation to the lungs and reduces inflammation.
• Trivrit: They are useful in colic constipation, dropsy, vitiated conditions of vata, paralysis, myalgia, arthralgia, pectoralgia, bronchitis, obesity, helminthiasis, gastropathy, ascites, inflammations, intermittent fever, leucoderma, pruritis, ulcers, erysepelas, haemorrhoids, tumors, jaundice, consumption and ophthalmia. Trivrit helps to maintain the healthy cholesterol levels in body. Use of this herb is good in the liver disorders as it helps in the cleaning of stomach. The herb also provides relief in shortening of breath, lungs congestion, nasal congestion and cough.

• Kakdasingi: Astringent, expectorant, stimulant. Gall is cholagogue, useful in cough, pthisis, asthma, respiratory tract infections, bronchial troubles and fever. (I.M.M., 1062)
